One more original Sonic character and may I say: "HUBBA HUBAA!!"
Name: Gem the Bat
Age: 17
Day of Birth: September 30
Gender: Female
Species: Bat
Elemental Avatar: Fire
Emerald Color: Red
Info:
Gem is the daughter of Rouge the Bat. She never knew her father and her mother never mentions him. She was raised by Rouge to become a jewel thief just like her. However when Gem was 12, she wanted an honest life and ran away from her mother. Since then, she has been training as a professional acrobat and a hired investigator. With the reemerging of Matrix the Hedgehog, she was assigned to team up with the son of Professor Prowers, Knots Prower and to report all activity to her employer (Chairman of G.U.N.S.). She has created a stable relationship over time (especially with Knots and vice versa *wink wink*) but always feels like the outsider of the team.
Gem possesses the element of Fire, following the death of Blaze the Cat. She is able to surround her body with flames and can project fireballs from the palms of her hands. She is very agile, quick-minded and very skillful in stealth situations. She uses her wings when she need to make a quick get away (the Fly leader of the team). Although here powers are as wild as fire itself, Gem is quite the contrary. She is very shy and timid. She tries to do everything with the best intentions and is against any idea of vandalism (because of her mother's obsession).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This is YOUR opportunity to mock, ridicule and generally take great delight and amusement whilst poking fun at the beloved Volunteers and Staff of deviantART.
